Jake competed for six years in speech and debate with the National Christian Forensics and Communication Association League in all forms of debate and almost all of the 10 speech categories. He qualified and placed in multiple events at the national level.  His favorite speech category was after dinner speaking and his favorite debate style was team policy. In team policy, he was the 2023 Region 9 champion and has placed at numerous tournaments. Jake is currently attending the College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in North Carolina, majoring in political science.

He offers coaching and was a writer in the 2024-25 TP sourcebook.
