What does it mean?
Our name “Pro Khristos” comes from Latin. It translates to “For Christ.” This is because we believe that everything should be done because of and for Christ, especially debate. Debate and other such activities are especially important because of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” So we ought to take care with for what reason we speak.
Our symbol, the Chi Rho is an early christogram(A combination of Christ’s initials into a symbol) using the Greek letters X and P, the first two letters of Christ in Greek. The widespread use of it began with Constantine after he chose to dedicate the Roman army to Christ.
